BIO 112 - General Biology II Credits: 4
Prerequisite(s): MAT 135 or placement. This course examines the origins of life on Earth, the mechanisms of evolution, and the diversity, classification, anatomy, and physiology of species from microbes to plants, fungi, and animals. Laboratory activities reinforce concepts discussed in class, with an emphasis on evolution, biodiversity, and structure and function of selected plants and animals. BIO 111 General Biology I is not a prerequiste for this course. Students can take the General Biology series in any order. A lab fee is required for this course.
